Accessibility

Saltire Books wants everyone to be able to browse and buy from this site, whatever equipment or settings they use.

The site is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. In practice that means:

• Every part of the site works with a keyboard alone, and the item you have reached is always visibly outlined.
• Text and background colours are chosen and measured for contrast, and text can be resized in your browser without breaking the layout.
• The moving background on our homepage stops when your device asks for reduced motion.
• Pages are structured with proper headings and labels so screen readers can navigate them.
• Forms tell you what went wrong and how to fix it.

Where we fall short

Some of our sample chapters and review reprints are supplied as PDF files that were not created by us and may not be fully accessible. If you need the content of any of them in another form, email us and we will do our best to help.
