Saltire Books was founded in 2007 by pharmacists Steven and Lee Kayne, a father and son team from Glasgow, with the aim of establishing an independent publishing company to serve the professional healthcare and complementary medicine community.

The list quickly established a reputation for books of the highest quality, beautifully produced in the UK, from leading authors worldwide. A second imprint, Riverclyde Books, publishes titles in personal development and other genres.
